The 3rd October 2025 Giorgi Beridze brilliantly defended his thesis entitled “Multimorbidity and Kidney Health in Old Age: Methodological Considerations and Longitudinal Associations”, based partly on SNAC-K data. The discussion was not only inspiring but also a strong push to keep searching for answers to the excellent questions that were raised.
From the SNAC-K Coordination Group, we would like to congratulate Giorgi for his outstanding work, which sheds light on how multimorbidity shapes the progression of kidney impairment in old age, offering important insights for prevention and care in aging populations.
We would also like to acknowledge the work of the main supervisor, Amaia Calderón-Larrañaga, as well as the co-supervisors Davide Liborio Vetrano, Juan Jesús Carrero and Lu Dai for their invaluable support throughout this journey.
